Freemasons meet at lodge meetings, which are typically held in two parts. The first part involves the lodge administration and working practices within a temple. This process is comprised of three degrees, each marked by a special ceremony. These degrees symbolise the journey of personal growth and enlightenment that every freemason undertakes.
The second part of the meeting is a festive board, where members dine socially together, accompanied by formal speeches and toasts. This social aspect of Freemasonry fosters camaraderie and deepens the bonds of friendship among members.
Old Owen’s Lodge meets four times a year at Freemason’s Hall, London. The set dates for meetings are the fourth Friday of January, March, May and October, each commencing around 1630.
