Founded in 1922, Old Owen’s Lodge has established itself as a cornerstone of the Freemason community. Celebrating its centenary in 2022, the School Lodge has enjoyed a rich history and continues to thrive as a beacon of tradition and charitable contribution. The Lodge convenes at Freemason’s Hall in Holborn, London, four times a year, bringing together members to uphold its values and principles.

Historical Contributions

Throughout its long-standing history, Old Owen’s Lodge has made significant contributions to Dame Alice Owen’s School. These include funding the lighting for the school theatre, the design and provision of the school clock, supporting prize-giving ceremonies, and sponsoring pupils. Such initiatives highlight the Lodge’s unwavering commitment to fostering educational excellence and supporting the school community

Inclusive Membership

Old Owen’s Lodge opens its doors to any man over the age of 18, irrespective of race, religion, or social status. In an effort to embrace inclusivity, there are also Lady Freemason Lodges that welcome women. Male school pupils over the age of 18, as well as parents and guardians, are especially encouraged to join. This broad membership policy reflects the Lodge’s dedication to fostering a diverse and welcoming environment.
